This study aims to analyze how parents adapt their parenting strategies to address the challenges of the digital era through a systematic literature review of 30 national and international journals. The method employed is a systematic literature study using content analysis techniques to identify key patterns, challenges, and parenting strategies. The results show that the authoritative parenting style is the most commonly applied approach, characterized by a combination of strict supervision and guided freedom for children. Major challenges faced by modern families include gadget addiction, moral degradation, shifting social values, and emotional neglect. Effective adaptation strategies include parental accompaniment in digital media usage, setting limits on screen time, strengthening character education based on cultural and religious values, and fostering strong collaboration between families, schools, and communities. The practical implication of this study highlights the importance of enhancing digital literacy among both parents and children, as well as the need for adaptive parenting education programs in the era of digital transformation. Further empirical research is recommended to examine the effectiveness of parenting styles in diverse family contexts.

Keywords: parenting, modern family, digital era

Abstract

Adolescents from broken home families face complex psychosocial challenges, ranging from emotional distress to social dysfunction. This study aims to examine the protective factors and adaptive strategies that shape adolescent resilience in such contexts, through a literature review of 30 qualitative journals published between 2017 and 2024. Data were systematically collected from Google Scholar and Google Cendekia, focusing on experiences, challenges, and psychological resilience mechanisms among adolescents. The findings indicate that internal protective factors such as meaning in life, self-control, and personal reflection, along with external protective factors including peer support, substitute family roles, and supportive educational environments, play a crucial role in strengthening resilience. The adaptive strategies employed by adolescents include building positive relationships, managing emotions through self-regulation, developing life meaning, reflecting on past experiences, and utilizing opportunities within educational settings. These protective factors and adaptive strategies enable adolescents to endure psychosocial pressures, enhance their personal development, and lead more functional, adaptive, and meaningful lives.

Abstract

Resilience refers to an individual's ability to adapt and recover from traumatic or stressful experiences. The research method used is qualitative with a phenomenological approach, focusing on the experiences of female adolescents aged 15–18 who experienced pregnancy outside marriage. The results show that the main contributing factors include free association, lack of parental supervision, limited sexual education, and environmental influences, including social policies such as online learning. The impacts include social stigma, school dropout, economic difficulties, and legal issues related to the child's status. Efforts to address this issue often involve early marriage or unregistered (siri) marriage, which is considered valid in religious terms but creates legal problems in Indonesia. Therefore, active roles of families, education, and counseling services are needed to prevent and address this issue in accordance with social and religious norms.
Sri Yunita Taligansing, Shofya Manika Copyright (c) 2026 Arniati30_@ asgar https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://ejurnal.fip.ung.ac.id/index.php/pjp/article/view/59 Thu, 18 Jun 2026 00:00:00 +0000 Dampak Negatif Media Sosial Terhadap Kondisi Psikologis Remaja https://ejurnal.fip.ung.ac.id/index.php/pjp/article/view/56

Istiqamah N.
